The Max Planck-UBC-UTokyo Center for Quantum Materials is a collaborative venture between the Max Planck Society (Germany), the University of British Columbia (Canada), and the University of Tokyo (Japan) featuring internationally leading scientists and extensive infrastructure for research in quantum materials. This partnership supports collaborative projects, scholarly exchanges, annual workshops, and joint schools for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
About the project:
- The Center is now actively recruiting Postdoctoral Research Fellows for 2-3 years.
- The starting date is flexible.
- Topic areas include:
- Metal-oxide interfaces and heterostructures
- Cuprates and Ruthenates
- Spin liquides and strong spin-orbit coupling
- Topological phenomena in solids
- Electronic properties of graphene-adatom systems
- Dynamical Control and Nano-optics of Electron Systems
Requirements:
- Applicants must be outstanding and highly motivated scientists with a strong background in physics or chemistry.
- Strong publications on quantum materials and enthusiasm for collaborative research are expected.
Application:
Candidates should send their complete application via email to mp-ubc-ut@fkf.mpg.de quoting reference number PDFO-54946. The application must contain:
- Curriculum Vitae
