The focus is to encourage basic; community based patient-oriented and translational research by clinicians. Overall, the program to be built around a rigorous research focus and should provide ample training in research method and investigational design.
Members essential for training program:
Principal Supervisor: This can either be a clinician scientist or a basic researcher or a public health analyst under whose direction the applicant carries out the research at the Host organization. It is mandatory to have a Principal Supervisor on the application.
Co-Supervisor: A Co-Supervisor can be a scientist, a clinician or a public health examiner in whose laboratory the applicant carries out the tests. The Co-Supervisor should provide guidance in crafting the training proposed to be undertaken in his/her lab.
Mentor: (optional) The Mentor has a secondary role on the application and can be opted from any part of the world. A Mentor should be a reputable researcher who situation to provide rational inputs to assist various aspects of the application process. Her/His knowledge and direction during the time of the research shall be thoughtful and in the process exchange of thoughts.
