Job Descriptions: 【Position】 An associate professor or a full professor beginning fall 2015. 【Duties】 1) Education A successful applicant will teach subjects related to Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Population Biology in English-taught undergraduate program. The teaching subjects are depending on the applicant’s specialty.

A successful applicant will teach subjects related to Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Population Biology in English-taught graduate program at the Master’s and Doctor’s courses. The teaching subjects are depending on the applicant’s professional major. A successful applicant is expected to teach English-taught subjects at Arts and Science program that is specially designed for freshman student at undergraduate programs of Kyushu University. 2) Management of educational programs A successful applicant will support for international affairs and international students related projects and coordination.

The applicant will also develop short-term exchange programs between international partner universities. 3) Research A research environment for the applicant is arranged depending on the specialty

Qualifications: 1) An applicant is expected to be a native English speaker or a fluent English speaker to teach subjects on Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Population Biology in English-taught undergraduate and graduate programs. 2) An applicant must have Ph.D. 3) An applicant is expected to have distinguished records of research in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Population Biology

4) An applicant must have a nationality other than Japanese 4. Term 1) The position is not tenure–track, and the term of employment is initially fixed at five (5) years. After evaluating the achievements during the initial term, the term of employment may be extended only once for an additional one (1) to five (5) years.

The maximum is ten years in total. 2) Kyushu University sets retirement system at the age of 65. 5. Salary The actual amount will be determined in accordance with the University’s regulations, the successful applicant’s past accomplishment and other factors. A relocation allowance will be provided based on the regulations of Kyushu University. 6.
