10 fully funded PhD positions: Plant Sciences 1275 views

The International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) on ‘Understanding Complex Plant Traits using Computational and Evolutionary Approaches’ is a local collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research (MPIPZ) and the Universities in Cologne and Düsseldorf (Germany). The institute is inviting applications for TEN fully funded PhD student positions in the Plant Sciences.

Requirements:
  • Applications are open to students from all countries.
  • Applicant must get enrolled at a German University which is typically the University of Cologne (UoC) or the Heinrich-Heine University (HHU) located in Düsseldorf near Cologne.
  • Applicant must hold a Master’s degree or comparable and have completed 4 to 5 years of university studies in subjects relevant to the individual projects.
  • The degree must be awarded before PhD projects start.
  • Applicant must have solid knowledge of the English language. Applicants are thus encouraged to support application with the result(s) of internationally accepted language exams such as TOEFL or IELTS, which are however not mandatory.

Duration: fully funded for 3 years
