15 Early Stage Researchers (PhD) positions: DARE 1656 views

Applications are invited for Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) in a new Marie Curie Network focused on the rights of persons with disabilities. This is an exciting, interdisciplinary research network, where ESRs will receive training in law, disability studies, public and social policy and related disciplines, as well as opportunities to put their skills into practice through secondment opportunities at a wide range of partner organisations.

Duration: 36 month from 1st September 2019 to 31st August 2022; Secondment: up to a max of 2 secondments (placement) to a max of 10.8 months total at on the of the partner organisations listed on the table above.

Eligibility:
  • A relevant Master’s degree or equivalent in Law, Humanities or Social Sciences
  • A demonstrable affinity with the topic;
  • High scholarly abilities, as testified by previous academic record, particularly by the quality at masters-level thesis;
  • Strong analytical capacity and good organisational skills;
  • At the time of recruitment by the host organisation, applicant must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of my research career and have not been awarded a doctoral degree.
  • Applicant must meet the mobility requirements for Marie Curie Early Stage Researchers. At the time of selection, applicant should not have resided or carried out my main activity (e.g. work, study etc.) in the same country as the Hosting Network Partner for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to 1 September 2019 (short stays such as holidays are not taken into account).
  • Language requirements: a native English speaker or a non-native English speaker who has passed the academic IELTS (minimum score: 7.5) or TOEFL internet-based (minimum score: 113) tests.
