The European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network HORATES (Novel methods for determination of thermal transport properties in organics) is offering 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs).
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science, with experience in (1) heat transport studies, including thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity measurements, and, ideally, (2) polymer science and technology.
- Programming experience is a particular merit.
- Applicant should be holding a PhD degree obtained before the enrolling in the HORATES programme.
- Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the work, the candidate is expected to have excellent collaboration skills.
- A very good capability of communicating scientific results in English, both orally and in writing is required.
- The applicant shall, at the time of recruitment, be in the first four years of his/her research career and have not been awarded a doctoral degree (this time is measured from the date of award/diploma of the most recent taught degree).
- The applicant must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host institute for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment. Compulsory national service, short stays such as holidays, and time spent as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention are not taken into account.
- The applicant can be of any nationality.
