Postdoc positions is available in Chemistry at Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) (Spain).

Postdoc researcher will carry out research in the group of Prof. Feliu Maseras.

Project Description:

1. The selected candidate will work on the mechanism of light-driven reactions in solution.
2. This will include both photoactivated and photocatalyzed reactions applied to either organic or inorganic systems.

Conditions of Requirements

1. Strong expertise in the use of the Gaussian program, in particular in the use of DFT and TD-DFT methods.
2. Previous experience in the use of kinetic modeling programs such as AcuChem, Tenua or Copasi.
3. He/she should be a motivated, open-minded, highly dynamic and a team player.
4. Proven good knowledge of English (written and oral).

Details about the employment

1. Duration: 3 Months employment contract.
2. A full- time employment contract.
3. Remuneration according to individual’s qualification/experience.
4. Immediate incorporation.
5. Application deadline 16 March 2017.

Other Considerations

1. The candidate should have a solid background in theoretical chemistry
2. The candidate should have performed high-level quantum chemistry studies & simulations applying density functional theory and microkinetic modeling.
3. The candidate will write reports & scientific articles.
