Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for posts of Scientist B (Chemistry). The positions are available under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation at Central Water & Power Research Station Khadakwasla Pune.
Remuneration: Level – 10 (Rs.56,100 – 1,77,500/-) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/- plus DA as applicable per month).
Age limit: applicants must not exceeding 35 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date (not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates as on normal closing date for vacancies reserved for them; relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time).
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute.
- Having at least three years research experience in Chemistry.
Role and responsibilities:
- Field data and sample collection from rivers and reservoirs and analysis of physiochemical & biological parameters using standard methods.
- Water quality model studies for River and Reservoir systems using different simulation software to predict futuristic scenario. Prepare project and technical reports and draft standards.
Probation: 01 (One) year.
