The Department of Government at Uppsala University invites applications for 4 PhD position in Political Science.

Starting date: 01 September 2018; Full time position

Requirements:

  • Basic eligibility: applicant must hold degree at advanced level, compulsory course requirements for at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 at advanced level, or equivalent knowledge obtained in Sweden or abroad.
  • Special eligibility: applicant must have completed postgraduate studies in Political Science.
  • Applicant must have satisfactory course results for 90 higher education credits in Political Science or equivalent knowledge obtained in Sweden or abroad.

  • A cover letter including a brief statement of intent (max 500 words), i.e. the applicant’s motives for applying; brief description of the documents submitted, please list them; indicate which piece of submitted academic work the applicant wants the committee to prioritize.
  • A maximum of two examples of the applicant’s research production (thesis, articles, reports or other texts of high scientific standard etc.).
  • A reflection on the applicant’s prior research (max. 1000 words)
  • Certified transcripts of academic records (to demonstrate qualification for admission).
  • Certification of competence in Swedish and/or English (for applicants without a degree from a Swedish university)
