About the project: This project is one of 13 new projects to develop new technologies for floating offshore wind turbines, or wind farms, using the discipline of control co-design. This project will yield a modular framework to support the broad mission of the DOE ARPA-E ATLANTIS Program.
Subject Areas: Composite Structures, Reduced-Order Modeling, Structural Dynamics, Aero/Hydro Dynamics, Multi-disciplinary Design Optimization, and Control.
Total Vacancies: 4 Positions ( 3 two-year positions and 1 one-year position)

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or in a similar engineering field , Published/accepted journal papers and must have strong background in mechanical, and/or aerospace engineering, or in a similar engineering fiel with Knowledge Programming skills in Matlab, Simulink, and Python also knowledge in the Linux operating system, open-source codes, GitHub, and parallel processing. Candidates having Experience in one or more of the following codes: TACS, OpenFAST, OpenMDAO , HAWC2, ADflow, EllipSys3D, MoorDyn, HydroDyn, OpenFOAM, interFOAM, waves2Foam will be preferred.
