The Centre for Environmental and Climate research at Lund University invites applications for five postdoctoral positions in Environmental Science. The postdoctoral positions are funded by BECC (Biodiversity and Ecosystem services in a Changing Climate).
Projects:
- Eco-evolutionary models of plant-pollinator communities – community response to landscape structure (Reference number PA2019/4303)
- Impacts of extreme drought on ecosystems in Eurasia and Sweden – the role of deep water reserves (Reference number PA2019/4343)
- How will seasonal clocks in wild and agricultural plants adapt to climate change? (Reference number PA2019/4299)
- Exploring synergies between wild pollinators and climate-smart protein production – a mixed methods approach (Reference number PA2019/4347)
- Forest management practices for climate targets and environmental objectives – adaptive strategies based on novel combinations of ecosystem modelling, policy analysis and visualization (Reference number PA2019/4339)
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold PhD, or an international degree deemed equivalent to a PhD (completed no more than three years before the last date for applications) in Climate, Ecosystem Sciences, Ecology, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, Physical Geography, Social Science, Forestry or similar fields.
- Documented experience of all or some of the following methods; dynamic ecosystem modelling, climate modelling and analysis, remote sensing, model-data comparisons, spatial analysis of digital elevation models and hydrology.
- Experience in programming (C++) and tools for dynamic modelling, spatial statistics, remote sensing, and geographical information systems .
- Experience in analyzing climate variations and extremes (such as ENSO).
- Experience and ability to work individually and organize an individual schedule to fulfill a specific goal.
- Experience in working in a team.
How to apply:
Apply online and be compiled into a PDF-file containing:
- CV, including a list of publications,
