Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing at University of Surrey invites applications for 9 PhD Studentships. The centre is developing some of the most exciting and ground-breaking technologies from facial recognition for security and medical imaging understanding for cancer detection, through to 3D Spatial Audio and 3D reconstruction from video to enable visual-effects production in films and VR.

PhD Studentships
Studentship value:
- Home/EU university tuition fees
- Maintenance grant: up to £14,553 per annum (tax-free)
- Reimbursement of travel costs
- Studentships are open to overseas students provided they can support the difference between home and overseas fees (£15,805).
Requirements:
- Applicant must have (or expect to obtain) a first-class degree in a numerate discipline (Mathematics, Science or Engineering) or MSc with Distinction (or 70% average) and a strong interest in pursuing research in this field.
- Applicants having experience relevant to the area of research would hold adavantage.
