Requirements:

  • The Kolleg is designed as a structured graduate education program for German and international graduates, who distinguish themselves in a selection process by their professional profile and an outstanding, interdisciplinary, and in the time frame of the promotion feasible research concept.
  • Prerequisite for the application is an above-average scientific degree, which entitles to a doctorate.
  • During the studies, applicants have acquired relevant specialist and methodological knowledge in their field, which enables them to design and successfully complete their own research project.
  • Desirable are also relevant aesthetic-practical experience.
  • Beyond academic qualification, working in a college requires the ability to be self-motivated, open to interdisciplinary work, and highly communicative competence and ability to work in a team.

  • Proof of academic degrees (possibly in certified translation)
  • CV with detailed presentation of the scientific career
  • Letter of motivation: documenting the personal suitability for the research and training program and explaining how the applicant intends to contribute to the college
  • Opinion of a university faculty, which on the technical and methodological expertise provides information as well as the scientific potential of the candidate or the candidate (max. 1 page)
  • Presentation of the dissertation project (max. 10 pages)
  • For applicants from foreign universities, the equivalent of the corresponding German degree and proof of German language proficiency level DSH: 1 / TestDaF 3 or equivalent is required.
