AACR Research grant: Angiogenesis Research
AACR Judah Folkman Career Development Award: This award / grant is for Angiogenesis Research to encourage and support a junior faculty researcher to conduct research in the field of tumor angiogenesis research.
The research proposed for funding may be basic, translational, or clinical in nature, and must substantially advance the field of tumor angiogenesis.
Support: $150,000 over 2 years ($75,000 per year)
Usage of support: For expenses related to the research project, which may include :
- Salary and benefits of the grant recipient: research assistants postdoc or clinical research fellows, graduate students, ,
- Research/laboratory supplies, equipment,
- Publication charges for manuscripts that pertain directly to the funded project, and other research expenses.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must have a Phd degree (including PhD, MD, ND, DDS, DO, DC, DVM, ScD, DNS, PharmD, or equivalent doctoral degree) in a related field and not currently be a candidate for a further doctoral or professional degree.
At the begining of the grant term on October 1, 2016, applicants must:
- Hold a full-time, faculty position
- Have completed PhD degree within the past 11 years
- Applicants with a medical degree must have completed recent PhD degree or medical residency – whichever date is later – within the past 11 years
- Should have independent laboratory space as confirmed by your institution
- Open to international students: Work at an academic, medical, or research institution anywhere in the world.
