Postdoc Fellow  position in Cell Biology is available at the Vannini group of Institute of Cancer Research (Ref:1557625). The postdoc position is available immediately with Dr. Alessandro Vannini. 

Cell Biology: Postdoc – Requirements:

  1. Highly motivated and creative
  2. Strong interest in cancer biology.
  3. A PhD degree (or equivalent) in cell biology or other related disciplines
  4. Have an experience with the following techniques:
    • functional genomics via next generation sequencing,
    • genome editing with CRISPR,
    • 3D cell culture and
    • tissue culture/engineering

Work Involved: Use of structural biology techniques and functional analysis (in vitro & in vivo) to elucidate the role of RNA Polymerase III transcription apparatus in cancer.

The research group is a dynamic research team with excellent collaborators and lab facilities. The Postdoctoral Training Fellow will work independently and will supervise a higher scientific officer in order to establish a complete research plan aiming to uncover the role of RNA Polymerase III role in cancer and exploit its potential therapeutic potential
