Centre of Biomedical Research (CBMR) invites applications for the Ph.D. program 2017 in the area of Chemical sciences, Biological sciences, Physical sciences and in interdisciplinary research areas. Potential candidates with background in biology/chemistry/biochemistry/physics/cognitive/neural science are encouraged to apply for the current academic session.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have scored 55 % marks or equivalent CGPA in Master’s or equivalent degree and must have qualified any ONE of the following national examination (CSIR or UGC-NET for JRF, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF or DST-INSPIRE fellowship for Ph.D).

  1. Molecular Synthesis and Drug Discovery covering thrust areas like Total Synthesis of Potential Drug Molecules, Asymmetric Synthesis & Catalysis, Organo-catalysis, Chemical Biology, Organometallic Catalysis.
  2. Cancer Biology
  3. NMR and Metabolomics with thrust areas NMR methodology, structural biology and functional proteomics
  4. Functional MRI for brain research
