French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) offers 2 PhD positions in project 5G-STEP-FWD on 5G System Technological Enhancements Provided by Fiber Wireless Deployments. The positions are available at Laboratory of Signals and Systems (L2S).

About the Positions:
- CNRS-1: “Modeling mmWave cellular communications via hyper dense small cell deployments”.
- CNRS-2: “Device- or user-centric wireless access and multi-connectivity design at mmWave frequencies”.
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research career
- Applicant can be of any nationality, but not having resided or carried out their main activity in France for more than 1 year in the past 3 years
- Applicant must have a degree that in their country gives access to a PhD
- Applicant must have not been awarded a doctoral degree yet.
- Applicant must possess excellent research skills and analytical abilities; fluency in English (spoken and written), proactive communication skills and problem solving as part of a team, strong record keeping, great work ethic and initiatives are essential characteristics.
