Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships: Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships for Developing Commonwealth Countries
The Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships support candidates to study distance learning Master’s degree courses that are either offered in partnership with universities in developing countries or delivered directly by UK institutions.

Scholarship value: it may differ from one institution to the other. Hence the applicant must check with the university he/she is applying to.
Eligibility: To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must:
- Either be a citizen of a developing Commonwealth country or British protected person or a refugee, or should be permanently residing in a developing Commonwealth country
- Be holding a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) standard or
a lower qualification and sufficient relevant experience may be considered in certain cases
Note: The applicant must also meet the specific eligibility requirements of the course he/she is interested in.
Application instructions:
- Before applying to the scholarship one should apply to study an eligible Master’s course at a university that is participating in the Distance Learning Scholarship scheme
- The applicant must check with the University for its Admission Requirements and rules for applying. Since, most of them may require the applicant to complete their own admission process which may have a separate deadline.
- One must submit application using the CSC’s Electronic Application System (EAS) to apply for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship.
