Max Planck Computing and Data Facility (MPCDF) and the Data Group in association with theory and experimental groups of several Max Planck Institutes working in the fields of materials- and biosciences, plasmaphysics and astrophysics is inviting application for a Computer or Data Scientist.
About the position:
- Selected fellow will work on the development and optimization of data-driven projects. Examples include the pan-european EOSC-hub project as well as other physical and biomedical projects.
- Selected fellow will contribute to further developing and maintaining generic data services offered by the MPCDF.
Requirements:
- Applicant must hold experiences in object oriented programming (ideally Python or Java) are desirable.
- Applicant must also demonstrate experience in data handling including relational and NoSQL database technologies, distributed and federated approaches to data processing are a plus.
Starting date: full time position starts as soon as possible
Duration: initially for a period of three years
Remuneration: Salary will be based on experience according to the German TVöD.
