CSS Internship Program: Bachelor’s/Master’s 1097 views

The Center for Security Studies (CSS) offers internships each year to graduate and undergraduate students in their final year. CSS internships are only available during summer holidays.

Number of places: 04

Duration: mid-May and early October (depending on the applicant’s semester holidays)

Location: CSS offices in Zurich

Nationality: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom may apply for an internship.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be Graduate or undergraduate student in the final year.
  • Applicant must possess excellent English proficiency
  • Applicant must hold good knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Applicant must be able to read and analyze content quickly and objectively; detailed knowledge of current affairs; strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly; initiative and a willingness to participate in, and contribute to, the activities of both the CSS or the ISN.

  • Application letter (01 page) statement of purpose outlining the research interests and why you would like to work at the CSS
  • Resume/CV (max. 2 pages)
  • Copies of academic transcripts and/or certificates
  • Writing sample in English (university paper, an article)
  • 2 letters of recommendation, preferably academic, must be sent directly by the referees to the CSS Institute Manager by e-mail or regular mail
