Technical University of Denmark invites applications for Postdoctoral fellowship in the field of Yeast metabolic engineering and synthetic biology. The position will be a part of European-funded international project DAFIA. DAFIA aims to develop processes for production of added value products from waste streams.
Duration: 3-year
Starting date: 1st of January 2017
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold PhD in Biotechnology or Molecular Biology
- Applicant must hold an outstanding track-record of scientific achievements (publications, patents, awards, grants, conference presentations, etc.)
- Applicant must have hands-on experience with yeast metabolic engineering
- Applicant should be able to work independently, to plan and carry out complicated research tasks, and also to be a part of the large research team
- Applicants with experience in project planning and supervision of students or laboratory technicians will have an edge over others.
- Applicant must possess high team spirit and exceptional collaboration skills; strong analytical skills and excellent judgment ability.
- Applicant must possess excellent communication skills (fluent written and oral) English.
- Applicant must be well-organized, resourceful, proficient, have excellent record keeping abilities.
