University of Hamburg offers Degree completion Grants for International undergraduate students seeking a degree from the university and whose monthly income does not exceed €450 can apply for a degree completion grant.

Grant value: maximum level of the grant is €450 per month

Duration: up to 12 months.

Level of studies: BA, BSc/MA, MSc degree students may apply for the grant to cover their degree exam period. Funding periods begin with registration for degree exams and end with the final exam. Thus, the maximum funding period for these degrees is six months.

Application period

  • Applications may be submitted all year long. Applications are processed in rounds according to the following dates: 1 January / 1 April / 1 July / 1 October

  • Detailed tabular schedule of the various work steps of your examination
  • 1 evaluation of the final project from your supervisor
