Duration: 14 months; fixed-term contract, renewable up to 3 years, full-time

Subject Area: Computational Engineering

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a doctoral thesis on Computational Engineering with application to the simulation of biofilm growth in collaboration with the team of Stéphane Bordas, Andreas Zilian and Paul Wilmes
  • Assist the professor in his teaching activities, one to three hours per week
  • Write high-quality research papers
  • Present their work in leading conferences
  • Contribute to the team activities in Legato team
  • Foster inter-disciplinary links between the LCSB and the Institute for Computational Engineering (ICE)

Requirements:

  • Applicant must hold Master’s Degree or equivalent in mathematics, physics, biology, computational methods
  • A practical experience in Numerical methods in engineering, biology, mathematics, physics
  • Applicant must possess excellent English language skills.
