Doctoral positions in Computer Science at Lund University: Faculty of Engineering, LTH, Institutionen för datavetenskap, Lund University is offering a Doctoral student/-s in Computer Science, specially in Machine Learning and AI for Robotics
for one or more four-year PhD positions from eligible candidates who are interested in Machine Learning with Robotics and Autonomous Systems as fields of application and who have good theoretical and mathematical foundations and who want to help lead the way towards the next generation of robots.
Project: PhD projects are related to the area of Machine Learning in robotic applications, Robotic skill learning, e.g., for interactive perception, Combining Deep Reinforcement Learning with a Knowledge Based approach for robotic skill representation,
Position: Ph.D positions
Fellowship: As per norms.
Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have MSc in Engineering, or other advanced degree, including at least 60 credits in computer science related courses OR candidate has been awarded a second-cycle qualification OR 150 credits in mathematics, engineering, and science, including at least 60 advanced credits in computer science and an advanced project worth 30 credits, and of relevance to computer science with Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
Desirable: Candidates with strong background in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, AI, Robotics or Computer Vision, Strong analytical skills, Knowledge of or willingness to learn C++, Python and Linux will be preferred.
