A PhD position for 4 years on urban climate modeling in Africa, is available at the department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, KU Leuven, Belgium. The aim of the project is to improve understanding of spatial variability of present day meteorological conditions in and around the cities by combining urban climate modeling with remote sensing.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold Master’s degree or about to finish in geography, atmospheric sciences, meteorology, environmental sciences, physics, mathematics or relevant discipline.
- Applicant must have scored excellent grades and should have motivation, good programming skills, interest in scientific computing.
- Applicant must possess good communication skills in English (written and oral)
