The Ernst Mach Grants were named after the famous Austrian physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach, The program is funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW).
Students and young researchers from universities outside Austria are invited to apply for this grant to come to Austria for a research or a study stay.
Age limit for this grant program is 35 years at the time of the application.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be postgraduate pursuing a doctoral/PhD program outside Austria.
- Applicants who are postgraduates and post-docs wanting to do research in Austria with a view to an academic career and have completed their studies (at an university outside Austria) are also eligible or
- Applicants who are post-docs and working as lecturers at a foreign university outside Austria may apply for this grant.
Duration: limited to a maximum of 9 months (extension is not possible within this program)
