Faculty Positions Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS): TISS Tuljapur Campus invites application for the post of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor on contract basis initially for one year and extendable up to two years.The Institute is looking for candidates with significant teaching and research experience in the field. Candidates should demonstrate high motivation and inspiration to meet the programme objectives and contribute towards high quality academic outputs.
Associate Professor
Pay Band Rs.37400-67000 and
Academic Grade Pay Rs.9000.
Essential requirements – Good academic record with a Ph.D. and active engagement in research with strong publications record.
A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research
Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with consistent engagement in basic and applied research with strong publications record.
Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
Assistant Professor
Pay Band Rs. 15,600-Rs. 39,100 and Academic Grade Pay Rs. 6,000.
Essential requirements for the Post of Assistant Professor –
Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale at the Master’s Degree level from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree)
