Getty Scholar Grants; Arts/Humanities/Social Sciences; USA 1614 views

Getty Scholar Grants are for settled scholars or writers who have achieved distinction in the field of arts, humanities, or social sciences.

Eligibility:
  • Applicants can be from any nationalities. There are no limitations.
  • Applicant must be from the field of arts, humanities, or social sciences.
  • Current Getty staff and members of their immediate family are not eligible for Scholar Grants.
  • Recent recipients who have received a Getty Scholar award within the past 3 years are also not eligible.

Duration: Getty Scholars may be in residence for one of six periods ranging from three to nine months: September-December; January-March; April-June; September-March; January-June; September-June.

Grant value: $65,000/year will be awarded based on length of stay, need, and salary; office at the Institute; research assistance; an apartment; airfare to and from LA.
