The Scholarship is named in memory of Hilary Booth. The Scholarship will be offered from time to time subject to funds being available.
Scholarship Value: $5,000
Eligibility for Hilary Booth scholarship:
- Applicant must be an Australian national or holds Permanent Residence Status in Australia or is an international student.
- The Scholarship will be granted to a student in the mathematical sciences entering the final honours year, or their IIIrd year with the intention of proceeding to an honours degree.
- The Scholarship can be held once only.
Duration: The Scholarship shall be tenable for a maximum of 2 consecutive academic semesters.
Selection Criteria:
Preference may be given to applicants satisfying one or more of the following criteria:
- A student returning to study after a break from higher education;
- A student not from the ANU;
- An interest in mathematical biology.
Note: A Scholarship shall not be awarded if, in the opinion of the Committee, there is no applicant of sufficient merit.
Application:
- Applications shall be called for with a closing date as set from time to time by the Committee.
- The application shall be submitted on the prescribed form, either electronically or in hard copy.
- An applicant who is not a student of this University must separately and concurrently apply for admission to the University.
- Two academic references shall be submitted on the prescribed form. The applicants must supply the names and contact details of the two referees
