Institute of Integrative Biology, ETH Zurich, invites applications for 2 PhD positions in Quantitative Ecology in the research group of Prof. Dr. Thomas Crowther.

Requirements:

• Applicant must be dynamic and highly motivated
• Applicant must hold Master’s degree in Ecology, Biostatistics, complex systems analysis or a related topic.
• Applicant must demonstrate strong quantitative/analytical skills, with considerable experience handling big datasets and generating models.
• Applicant must be driven to lead experimental/observational studies or meta-analyses that generate a fundamental understanding of how the structure of biological communities affects carbon cycling in natural ecosystems.
