The Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPC PAS) invites applications for the position of PhD Student (PhD scholarship holder) in the Department of Physical Chemistry of Biological Systems (1 position). The project is funded by the National Science Centre Poland, under MAESTRO 8 funding scheme.
Research activities:
- targeted at solving one of the most basic problems of optics: in-vivo microscopic imaging in optically inhomogeneous media
- The main objective of the research is to broaden the knowledge about the image formation process in the presence of highly distortive media like biological samples.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold MSc degree in Physics/Engineering (optics, automatics, informatics, electronics),
- Applicant must demonstrate initial experience in experimental work in the field of optics and skills in LabView (optionally MatLab), Python, C++.
- Applicant must possess good command of English.
Start date: October/November 2018.

- 3 000 zł (non-tax-deductible cost),
