As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting academic achievement and encouraging student diversity, the University of Stirling is pleased to offer an awards scheme for international postgraduate students. Awards will be offered in the form of a reduction in the overall tuition fee payable.

Applicants requiring a Tier 4 student visa will still be required to pay the International Tuition Fee Deposit as part of the standard admissions process. Students are encouraged to apply for other University scholarships; however the University will not make multiple fellowships to single student. In cases where a candidate qualifies for more than 1 university fellowship or award, highest financial value award will be confirmed.

Required Eligibility

For entry in September 2017 International Postgraduate Awards are offered to taught postgraduate students who are self-funded and responsible to pay tuition fees at the overseas rate. Awards are available for candidates domiciled in, or nationals of the 16 countries, subject to meeting country-specific academic criteria as outlined in further link. Awards are offered to students entering directly onto a full-time Masters degree programmes, at the University’s Stirling campus.

Application Form

Students from eligible countries will automatically be assessed for an International Postgraduate Award as part of the admissions process; there is no separate application required for this award. Students who qualify for award will be notified by Admissions, once academic offer conditions have been met.
