Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) Barcelona is seeking 2 postdoctoral fellows to conduct bioinformatics research on complex human pathologies, including Alzheimer´s disease, in the frame of the ERC funded project SysPharmAD.
Responsibilities:
- Analyses and integration of RNA-seq and proteomics data collected from patients and animal models.
- Design and implementation of a systems pharmacology strategy, based on concerted multi-target perturbations, able to monitor and modify the biology of the disease.
Offered Position:
- initial 2 year contract (renewable)

Eligibility:
- Applicant must hold PhD degree or equivalent in statistics, bioinformatics or computational biology.
- Applicant must have some experience in the analyses of RNA-seq and/or proteomics data; computational network/systems biology modeling.
- Applicant must have noteworthy publications record, according to career stage
Desirable:
- Applicant must have outstanding programming/scripting skills
- Applicant must possess positive organizational, problem solving and communication skills
- Applicant must be fluent in English (both spoken and written).
