The University of Leeds invites applications for the Leeds Doctoral Scholarships. There are a number of fully funded places for 2018 entry, available across all disciplines. The scholarship is open to UK and international applicants.

Scholarship Value:

  • Recipient will receive payment to cover their University tuition-fees up to three years
  • Maintenance grant matching the Research Council UK rate (£14,553 for 2018/19).

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a UK/EU or International fee paying student
  • Applicant must have achieved at least a Ist Class Honours degree or equivalent at undergraduate level or Distinction in a Master’s programme
  • Applicant must meet the English language requirements of programme of study (if English is not the first language (UK/EU applicants – prior to or at registration; international applicants – by the relevant scholarship deadline)
  • Applicant must not have already been awarded or be currently studying for a PhD degree
  • Applicant must not already be receiving any PhD scholarship
  • Applicant must have applied for a research degree and be in receipt of a student ID number
