Leeds University Business School offers Economics doctoral Scholarships for UK/EU and International students commencing full-time PhD study within the Economics Division of Leeds University Business School.
Start date: 1 October 2017 or 1 February 2018
Number of scholarships:
- Three scholarships (1 for UK/EU and 2 to International students)
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Successful candidates will be expected, after appropriate training, to undertake teaching duties as a teaching assistant (TA) from their IInd year (teaching opportunities are subject to availability and are limited to a maximum of 250 hours per year).

Value of scholarship:
- tuition-fees at the relevant UK/EU or international rate
- maintenance grant of £14,553 per annum
- no additional allowances for travel or research costs
Eligibility:
- Applicants must first submit a research degree study application form and be in receipt of a University BANNER ID Number (Student ID Number) to be eligible for a Leeds University Business School: Economics Scholarship.
- Applicants must hold a Ist Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK Upper IInd Class Honours degree and a British Master’s degree, (or equivalent qualification) in an appropriate academic discipline, with a minimum average score of 60%
- Applicants must meet the Business School’s minimum English Language requirements prior to registration (EU/International applicants only).
