Materials Scientist/Biomaterials Scientist: 3 positions 3199 views

The Centre for Research in Engineering Surface Technology (CREST) at TU Dublin is inviting applications to recruit Materials Engineers (or equivalent) with sufficient industrial experience to deliver essential technical expertise.

Requirements:

• Applicant must hold PhD or equivalent in Chemistry/Materials Science/Biomaterials or a closely related discipline
• Evidence of a research profile and an academic/technical reporting record
• Knowledge of research techniques and methodologies
• Knowledge of protective/engineering coatings and/or surface analysis methodologies
• Experience with microscopy (e.g. SEM, metallurgical microscopy), biological assays and mechanical testing (e.g. tensile testing) (desirable).

Tenure: The posts are offered on a fixed-term specified purpose wholetime/part-time basis for up to 5 years
