About the fellowship:

  • The Millennium Fellowship is a two-year part-time program requiring three weeks of in-person activities and eight hours of virtual activities and distance learning, supplemented by independent fellow-to-fellow work and optional events that take place around the world and throughout the year.
  • Throughout the fellowship and beyond, fellows will join a global network of outstanding peers, have unparalleled opportunities to meet with world leaders at flagship Atlantic Council events, go behind the headlines to discover issues at the cutting-edge of key global trends, and lead the debate on the issues that will shape the 21st century.
  • The Millennium Fellowship is open to anyone who is thirty-five years old or younger as of the application deadline for the current cycle of applications.
  • Applicants who are thirty-six years old will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Leaders who are thirty-seven years old or older on the application deadline are not eligible to apply.

Application Process

  • Apply online and the the application requires basic personal information (name, email contact, citizenship, etc.), responses to short essay questions, and a copy of resume.
  • The recruiting period is generally through the winter into early spring.
