The Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences (MPI CBS) invites applications for up to two Postdoctoral positions “adaptive memory and prefrontal cortex” for its independent research group Adaptive Memory (led by Dr. Roland Benoit).
About the project:
- The research combines novel cognitive procedures with a range of neuroscience methods, including fMRI and MRS (at 3T and 7T), fusion RSA of fMRI and MEG data, neuromodulation (tDCS and TMS), computational modelling, and examinations of patients with focal brain lesions.
- There are quite a few degrees of freedom for the development of new ideas and experimental approaches.
Requirements:
- Applicants must have a passion for understanding episodic memory and cognitive control, and are able to demonstrate an outstanding academic record.
- Applicant must have strong expertise in at least one of the mentioned methods.
- Candidates must have, or expect, a PhD (or equivalent) in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, or a related field.
Starting date: Flexible (preferably in spring/early summer 2019)
Duration: initially for 02 years with a possible extension
