The Munich Center for Economics of Aging (MEA) at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy, evaluates, anticipates and follows the micro- and macroeconomic aspects of demographic change. For a new research project, applications are invited from excellent candidates to apply for a Doctoral Position in Economics, Sociology, or Related Disciplines. Recipients are expected to develop and pursue a research agenda with strong connection to the Baltic Sea States Project.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must hold two-year master’s degree or equivalent qualification in economics, sociology or related discipline
- Applicant must possess strong background in quantitative methods and good knowledge of statistical software (e.g. Stata, R, SPSS)
- Applicant must demonstrate strong interest in pursuing an academic career
- Applicant must have interest in inequality, migration or integration research
Duration: initially 3 years
Value: Salary and benefits are based on the German public service pay scale (TVöD Bund, “Entgeltgruppe” 13, 50 %).
