The Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL) offers a non-tenured W2 position for an Independent Research Group Leader Position in the area of Novel Miniaturized Optical Imaging in Biomedical Applications.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold PhD degree in physics or a related field with outstanding postdoctoral experience in an area of immediate relevance to the planned research activities.

About the position:

  • Successful candidate will be offered a Max Planck Research Group with a non-tenured W2 position (equivalent to assistant or associate professor level) for a period of 5 years.
  • Talented researchers early in their career path are invited to submit applications.

Duration: 5 years; may be extended twice by 2 years based on a positive review
