MUNI Award for Scientists in Science and Humanities 762 views

Masaryk University is offering the individual MUNI awards for outstanding scientists from all fields of research in Science and Humanities. This is in the Czech context an exceptional grant is funded by the internal Grant Agency of Masaryk University (GAMU).

Award value:
  • 5 years long tenure-track professorship with a possibility of gaining a permanent contract.
  • A budget of approx. CZK 5 million a year for a 5 year period (in total approx. EUR 1 million)
  • Associate or full professorship.
  • Laboratory and office space for a research team.
  • Welcome service and administrative support.

Eligibility:

  • An ERC holder or any other prestigious individual grant.
  • An ERC applicant (Starting Grant or Consolidator Grant) with a mark of A from the step 2 of the ERC evaluation process who was not funded because of the limited budget of ERC funds.
  • Other applicants who can show the outstanding subject competence and a proven track record of high-quality scientific productivity as judged by publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals adequate to an applicant a) or b)
  • The award holder is expected to have a full-time job at Masaryk University.

ERC holder or any other prestigious individual grant will send:

  • A record of obtaining the ERC grant or any other prestigious individual grant.
  • A CV including a summary of work experience, publication activity, teaching, involvement in research grants, etc.
  • A Cover Letter including the key technical or staff requirements.

ERC applicant (Starting Grant or Consolidator Grant):

  • Basic information about the ERC proposal, form B of the proposal and its Evaluation Summary Report.
  • A CV including a summary of work experience, publication activity, teaching, involvement in research grants, etc.
  • Contact information for at least three referees.
  • A Cover Letter including the key technical or staff requirements.

Other applicants:

  • A project in the scope of form B1 of an ERC grant.
  • A CV including a summary of work experience, publication activity, teaching, involvement in research grants, etc.
  • Contact information for at least three referees.
  • A Cover Letter explaining the motivation of the candidate to gain the position, his/her future career plans at Masaryk University and including the key technical or staff requirements.
