NIMR – ICMR : National Institute Of Malaria Research (NIMR), Indian Council of Medical Research: Applications are invited for the post of Scientist ‘D’ and Scientist ‘C.

Scientists ‘D’: Two (UR)

Salary:

  1. Pay Band- 3, Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 7600
  2. Allowances as per Rules

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Ist class Master’s degree in life/ biological sciences (Biology, Zoology, Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Medical Entomology etc.).
  2. IInd class M.Sc + Ph.D. degree in subjects of the life/ biological sciences from a recognized University
  3. Eight (8) years R&D/Teaching experience

Scientists ‘C’:One(UR)

 Salary:

  1. Pay Band- 3, Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6600
  2. Allowances as per Rules at the ICMR’s rules

 Essential Qualification:

  1. Ist Class Master’s degree in Biophysics/Molecular Biology /Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Zoology /Bioinformatics/Physiology/ Statistics/Geostatistics / Mathematics/  and other related subjects in Life/ Physical Science Or
  2. IInd Class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in Molecular Biology/Zoology/ Biophysics / Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/Physiology/ Statistics/Geo statistics/ Mathematics/ and other related subjects in Life/ Physical Science.
  3. Four (4) years R&D/Teaching experience in malaria and other Vector Borne Diseases from a recognised Institute/ University after obtaining one of the above degrees.

Desirable Qualification:

  1. PhD degree in the field of Malaria or other vector borne diseases.
  2. Post Doctoral research or teaching experience from recognized institute in mentioned fileds.
  3. Knowledge of Computer Applications/Data management/M. Tech/ M.C.A.
  4. Experience in use of modern tools such as GPS, GIS & development of Mobile
    application for health research.
