Orion is a globally operating Finnish pharmaceutical company.

Orion Research Foundation grants are on offer and are open for the following nationalities.

Nationality: International students are eligible to apply

Orion develops, manufactures and markets human and veterinary pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients.

 

 

The company keeps coming up with new drugs and treatment methods. The core therapy areas of Orion’s pharmaceutical Research & Development are:

  • central nervous system (CNS) disorders
  • oncology and
  • respiratory diseases
Orion develops inhaled Easyhaler® for respiratory diseases.

Scholarship Value: 

  • For researchers with a doctorate (completed in the 5 years running up to 10th September 2018), for the continuation of research (maximum EUR 50,000 would be granted.
  • For young scientists without a doctorate, for scientific research a maximum of EUR 5,000 would be given.
  • The smaller grants (maximum EUR 5,000) are always personal grants and not for expenditure. Research abroad with the grant is appreciated.
  • The applicant shall attach the engagement letter from the place of performance for research of post-doctorate grant.
  • The Foundation does not award travel grants, for example for travel to congresses.
  • Applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide proof of efficiency in English.

How to Apply: The mode of application is online. The applicant should fill the electronic form on the Foundation’s website.

  • The application form is to be filled using Finnish, Swedish or English.
  • The Foundation does not take additional attachments or recommendation letters into account.
