The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Department of Biomedical Sciences at University of Copenhagen is inviting applications for a fully funded PhD student position. This will present an opportunity to work in the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the lab of Assistant Professor Thomas Jepps commencing October 2019 or as soon as possible hereafter.
About the position:
- This position is intended for an ambitious and talented individual interested in applying their skills to the discipline of vascular physiology.
- Applicants should have prior knowledge and experience of working with either the microtubule network or within vascular physiology.
- Applicants should have undertaken training in patch-clamp electrophysiology and have experience with certain molecular biology techniques, such as immunostaining with super-resolution microscopy, Western blotting and quantitative PCR.
- Additional desirable skills include experience working with rodents, arterial dissection and myography, however these are not essential.
- The selected candidate will be expected to work closely with other members of a growing team, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

- Duration is 3 years as a PhD student
Requirements:
- Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, an MSc within a relevant field of physiology, pharmacology or a related discipline.
