PhD fellowship in metabolomics | CIC bioGUNE 1214 views

Center for Cooperative Research in Biosciences (CIC bioGUNE) invite applications for a PhD fellowship in the department of Metabolomics Platform. The Title of the project is “Identification and validation of metabolomic-based non-invasive serum biomarkers that diagnose, subtype, risk stratify and monitor non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) progression” under the supervision of Dr. Sebastiaan Van Liempd and Prof. José M Mato.

Duration: 48 months

The student will be enrolled in a PhD program at the University of the Basque Country as the degree awarding institution.

Requirements:
  • Applicant must hold degree in Analytical Chemistry.
  • Applicant must possess fluency in English and is expected to rapidly take up and develop techniques and concepts from synthetic and analytical chemistry.
  • Applicant must have proficiency in highresolution chromatography coupled mass spectrometry, be interested in liver metabolism /function and interested in biostatistics and modelling of biological systems.
  • The PhD student should be desired a working knowledge of R and/or Python.
