The CNAG-CRG is one of the major Genome Sequencing Centers in invites applications for a PhD Fellowship in Structural Genomics. The CNAG-CRG is actively involved in joint research projects on a number of specific topics:
- Disease Gene Identification,
- Cancer Genomics,
- Genomics of Infectious Diseases,
- Model Organism Genomics and Synthetic Biology Genomics
Requirements:
- Applicant must be talented young student with a strong background in bioinformatics for the Structural Genomics Team working on modeling the 3D chromosomal structure in beta cells to identify genetic mechanisms underlying type 2 diabetes.
- Applicant must hold Master’s degree in Bioinformatics or a related field.
- Applicant must have hands-on experience in Bioinformatics analysis.
- Applicant must have knowledge of 3C related techniques will be a plus.
Duration: 3 years
Fellowship value: PhD salary as for CNAG-CRG’s scale.
