Introduction: ”La Caixa” Banking Foundation firmly believes in the importance of scientific progress, through research, mobility, & professional qualification for the development of society. The foundation is offering a fellowship program for young researchers who wish to earn a doctoral degree at any university or research center located at Spain.

Details about the Program

1. “la Caixa” Banking Foundation is offering 20 fellowships to pursue official PhD studies culminating in the presentation of a doctoral thesis at a university.
2. The doctoral degree programs that are eligible must be adapted to the European Higher Education Area.
3. The call for applications covers all areas of research and study
4. It is aimed at all individuals who fulfil the requirements to be admitted to the PhD degree program, provided that they have not previously enrolled in the PhD studies applied for Doctoral studies at any Spanish universities or research centers
5. Research fellows should start at the host universities or research centers between September & November of 2017.
6. The fellowships have a maximum duration of three (03) years.
7. However, they are granted for one year and include the possibility of two renewals in all cases, provided that the follow-up reports requested on an annual basis are favorable.
