PhD position in Biological Physics 870 views

Department of Physics at IIT Jammu invites applications for the PhD position in the area of Biological Physics. The Biological Physics group at IIT Jammu primarly use theoretical/computational tools of equilibrium and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics to understand a wide-range of biologial phenomena.

The selected candidate will develop strong computational skills to perform stochastic simulations of various biological processes and analyze big biological datasets. Additional information concerning the group can be found at group-webpage (http://iitjammu.ac.in/ajeet-sharma).

The applicant should have:

  • NET/INSPIRE/GATE
  • Knowledge of Python/Matlab is desirable but not mandatory
