The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry is offering a PhD student position (m/f/d) in protein homeostasis and haematopoiesis. The position is available in Dr. Alpi’s laboratory in the Department of Molecular Machines and Signaling.
About the Project:
- The PhD project will focus on further characterising these candidates using cutting-edge biological approaches, including stem/progenitor cell model systems, genetic engineering (CRISPR-Cas9), flow cytometry, high-resolution microscopy, and deep sequencing technologies (RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq).
Requirements:
- Candidate will have a master’s degree in Cell Biology and a keen interest in cell differentiation.
- Previous expertise in mammalian cell culture and techniques such microscopy and flow cytometry are highly desired.
- Experience in working with stem/progenitor cells and training with mass spectrometry analysis is considered a merit.
Applications:
Apply online (as pdf files) including appropriate documents:
- Cover letter stating research interest in haematopoiesis
- CV
