The Department of Chemistry at Chung-Ang University is inviting applications for a PhD position in Single molecule imaging laboratory to study the molecular mechanisms of RNA-protein or protein-protein interaction that are related with diseases at the single-molecule level.
About the research:
- The lab employs various single molecule fluorescence techniques to discover the hidden characteristics of important chemical and biological systems such as RNA-mediated gene regulation and disease-related protein aggregation.
- Also, aim to develop ultrasensitive analytical methods to quantify various chemical properties including a chelating efficiency as well as cutting-edge DNA/RNA detection techniques that can be applied to cancer diagnosis and virus detection.
- This field is an interdisciplinary area, so the candidates with diverse background including chemistry, physics and biology are all welcome.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science and engineering
- Proficiency in English
